Argonaut was founded in
1994 on a dream and some credit cards. Over the past eight
years we've progressed from our first flying logo to 39 short
films, 4 television commercials
(1 regional super bowl spot), 32 FX shots, 26 national magazine
covers, 33 posters, 465 other CG projects--and we've initiated
production on our first feature film, Guardian Oath, starring
Michael Dorn from Star Trek.
Our journey from flying
logos with MAX to feature film work with Maya is a brutal one
that's still not complete. But
starting from scratch, with no financial safety net, ingrained
in us the need for quality, responsiveness, and value. And
Argonaut's unbelievable passion for excellent story telling constantly
propels us to do better, more thrilling work than we did the day
before. So, if you're looking for passionate storytellers
eager to surpass themselves, you will not find anyone better.
Having grown up in the shadows of the Sundance Film Festival, we
approach our films from a guerilla-filmmaker point of view. We may not get blockbuster
budgets yet, but we make up for it with story, character, and creativity. No,
we're not going to surpass Shrek this year. But we're going
to tell some amazingly good stories. And a few years from now, who knows?
However, probably the most important thing to know about this company
is that we're honest. Not gullible, but honest—and although it's intangible,
we think that's most important. So if you haven't given us a shot yet,
get to know us. You'll be surprised by what you find.
We're currently scheduling projects for summer
2003, so if you've got a large project that you would like to be
spectacular, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Ben Harrison
President
And for the nostalgic benefit of our old-timer employees, we recently
unearthed our corporate and architectural reels
from EIGHT YEARS AGO!! And how could you forget this little
gem we rescued off an abandoned VHS tape: Singletrac's Rogue
